Delorse "Jinnie" Weggen

Delorse “Jinnie” Weggen, 67, of Davenport, died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 in the All Faith Chapel at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

Jinnie was born January 6, 1952 in Exline, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Edna Fay (Cline) Wages. On May 20, 1978 in Davenport, she married Steven Weggen.

Jinnie worked for Kimco Corporation, Nichols Aluminum, and Millards. She enjoyed crafts, decorating for the holidays, picnics, cookouts, car rides, and family get-togethers. Jinnie also enjoyed going to the casinos. She cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Steve; children, Shannon (Fiance Brian Oechsner) Mangels, Jinnie (Michael) Riley, Jeremy (Mindy) Weggen, and Travis (Tara) Weggen, all of Davenport; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lee (Jean) Wages, Marilyn Sherbonda, Wendell Wages, Dianna (Everett) Lamb, and Gary Wages.

Jinnie was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brandon Ballard; siblings, Carletta, Juanita, Evelyn, Shirley, LaVern, and Eva June.
