David Herrmann Jr

David Herrmann Jr, 60, of Ottumwa and formerly of Blue Grass, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at his home. Cremation has been accorded.

David was born January 19, 1966, to David and Delores “Dee” (Jones) Herrmann Sr.

He loved the Chicago Cubs, Da Bears, and Iowa Hawkeyes. He was amazing golfer and loved fishing in his spare time. He always had a smile on his face

Survivors include his children Ariann (Trevor) White of Avilla, IN, David Herrmann, Keith Hermann, and Aaron Herrmann of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Rose Herrmann of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; father David Herrmann Sr of Walcott; mother Delores “Dee” Johnson of Davenport; sister Lisa (Barry) Smith of Blue Grass; half brother Richard O’Leary of Davenport; half sister Roberta Galvan of Davenport; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends Amber Haines and James Curtis.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother Virginette Herrmann, stepfather Marvin Johnson, brother Darrell Bennett and Johnny Bennett, nephew Kyle Bennett, and niece Sarah Johnson.
