David L. Broderson, 49, a resident of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home surrounded by family following a courageous battle with melanoma.

Funeral services to celebrate David’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. until the services begins Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.

David Lee Broderson was born on November 26, 1976, in Davenport, a son of Peter Toher and Connie Broderson. He was united in marriage to Keli Ducey on November 26, 2014 in Davenport. David worked for Allsteel and Raymond Corp in Muscatine before going to work at Arconic where he worked until mid-April when his health deteriorated.

David’s life revolved around his family; he was a proud supporter of all of their athletic endeavors and achievements. Family vacations meant traveling to state baseball or wrestling tournaments. He was happiest when he was with his family. He was a simple guy who enjoyed a good steak and taking care of his vehicles.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Keli, Bettendorf, children: Noah (Graciela) Broderson, Des Moines, Julien (Macie) Broderson, Davenport, Lexi Goddard, Bettendorf, Logan Goddard, Davenport, Emmalynne and Gable Broderson, both of Bettendorf, and Claudia Martel, Aurora, Illinois; granddaughters, Olive and Lucy; his father, Peter Toher, Bennett, Iowa, his mother, Connie (Dennis) Herron, Davenport; siblings: Melissa White, Davenport, Ben (Dawn) Toher, Davenport, Nicole Miller, Racine, Wisconsin, Paige (Drew) Spray, Clarence, Iowa, and Tony Toher, Tipton, Iowa; father-in-law Michael Ducey, Davenport, sister-in-law, Brandi (Goose) Gooseman, Coal Valley, Illinois, brother-in-law, Sean (Jen) Ducey, Davenport, and a special uncle, Lee Broderson, Davenport; as well as nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gloria Ducey and his maternal grandparents, Donald R. and Patricia Broderson. May they rest in peace.
