Danielle Brooke Martinez was born on February 20, 1978, the daughter of Lori Loving and Michael Murphy. She married David Martinez on September 24, 2004.
Danielle was in the hearts of all who knew her. She was an empath who would walk in a room and make it feel like a warm and accepting place. The host of endless family gatherings, she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, sharing laughter, and listening in way that made everyone feel special, heard, and understood. Never wanting to be the center of attention, Danielle’s joy was watching others shine. She loved to dance, she had an infectious laugh, and she was the one to call if you needed a listening ear. Above all, Danielle’s greatest passion and the source of what she cared about the most, were her three children, Khalil, Alaina, and Larissa. She was a loving, supportive mom, and her commitment to her children was at the core of her being. Their stories were the ones she held closest to her heart and their dreams were her dreams. Her unconditional love and acceptance were evident to them and to all who loved her.
She is survived by her three children, Khalil Hacker (25), of Davenport, Iowa, Alaina Martinez (19), of East Moline, Illinois, and Larissa Martinez (17), of East Moline, Illinois; her mom, Lori Loving, of Davenport, Iowa, her husband, David Martinez, of East Moline, Illinois; five aunts, three uncles, and ten cousins. She is preceded in death by her loving nana, Berneice Smith, and her father, Michael Murphy.
In honor of Danielle, an education scholarship fund has been established for her children. These memorials may be sent to Halligan, McCabe, DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, Davenport, Iowa, 52803, to be passed along to family.
