Cynthia L. Bailey

Cynthia Lee Bailey, 71, a resident of Davenport, died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center, East in Davenport.

There will be no services held at this time. Memorials may be made to the family.

Cindy was born August 4, 1951 in Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Imogene (Cook) Wicks. She married William Bailey. He preceded her in death, July 16, 2020.

Cindy was a life-long librarian. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah with a degree in English Literature. Cindy was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved music, art, reading, and her cat, Shirley.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Amy King of Davenport and Jeff King of Ohio; among her grandchildren are Liam and Lily King; sister, Christy (Joel) Huffman of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; nephews, Justin (Emily) Huffman and Jordan (Cynthia Smith) Huffman; great-nephews, Braydan Huffman and Mason Norby.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Randy Wicks, and sister, Connie Jo Wicks.
