Craig Ramsay

Craig W. Ramsay, 57, of Bettendorf, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home in Bettendorf.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. His family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.  Memorials may be made to Special Olympics Iowa.

Craig Walter Ramsay was born November 9, 1961 in Davenport a son of Robert J. and Hazel M. L. (Koontz) Ramsay.

Craig loved people, especially the ladies. He was a charming fellow with a heart of gold and never held a bitter feeling for anyone. He held great affection for animals and remembered the names of numerous pets that passed through his life. He had performed in the Special Olympics and was an avid follower of professional wrestling recreating their signature one-liners and gestures. Craig was the ultimate family member and held deep ties with all, especially with his nieces and nephews.

Those that remain to celebrate Craig’s life include; Robert G. Ramsay (brother): Leaha L. Ramsay, Stacy Ramsay, Marianne Ramsay, Ashley Panozzo and Genevieve Hays (nieces): Tobin J. Ramsay, Tim Hatfield, Cory Hatfield, Justin Ramsay, Austin Panozzo and John Ramsay (nephews) as well as many other loving extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Barbara Hatfield and Marilynne D. Panozzo and brothers John E. Ramsay and James W. Ramsay as well as a niece, Danette Hatfield and nephew James S. Ramsay.
