Craig D. Grimmett

Craig D. Grimmett, 61, of Moline, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Accolade of Peoria.

Funeral services for Craig will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Craig Darnell Grimmett was born on August 11, 1963 in Des Moines, a son of William and Catherine (Johnson) Grimmett. Craig graduated from Davenport West High School where he lettered in tennis and was the #2 ranked player on the team. After high school, Craig served in the National Guard. He loved all sports particularly baseball, basketball, and tennis. Craig loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his mother.

Those left to honor his memory are his children: Meghan Grimmett, Rock Island, DeMorris Grimmett, Rock Island, and Shania Grimmett, US Army; his parents, William and Catherine Grimmett; sisters: Michelle (David) Fryxell, Davenport, Della (Jeff) Peters, Quincy, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
