C. Jeanne Kuhn

A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of C. Jeanne Kuhn, 86, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Davenport.  The Mass will be livestreamed by visiting the church's YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFcpGJB4b6cbWTDvn-c14EA/videos The family will greet friends Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass in the gathering space at church.  Burial will take place at a later date at Markillie Cemetery, Hudson, Ohio.  Memorials may be made to Davenport Schools Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley, The Kahl Home, or any charity that is close to your heart.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Kuhn died Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Kahl Home, Davenport surrounded by family.

C. Jeanne Marx was born on September 25, 1935 in Lansing, Michigan, the youngest of seven children born to Joseph and Helen (Neumeier) Marx.  She was united in marriage to Donald W. Kuhn on November 15, 1958 in Evanston, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1981.

Jeanne was the beloved strong center of her family.  Following her retirement, she moved to Iowa to be closer to her granddaughters.  She gave her time freely to many organizations in Ohio and Iowa.  Jeanne was an excellent bridge player, tennis player, and gardener. She loved  traveling and spending time outdoors

Survivors include her children: Peter (JoAnn) Kuhn, Stow, Ohio, Jennifer (Tim) Chen, Davenport, and Emily Kuhn (Mark Lousberg), Moline; granddaughters: Olivia Chen, (Mario Berkeley), Dallas, Texas, Molly Chen (Oliver Findlater) London, England, and Lily Chen, Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by a daughter, Molly Kuhn-Thomas, her parents, and her siblings May they rest in peace.
