Chuck Tovrea

Chuck Tovrea, 70, of Moline, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island. A funeral to celebrate his life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 am until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kings Harvest Pet Rescue.

Charles James Tovrea was born May 26, 1955, to Coleman and Patricia (Jaros) Tovrea. He graduated from West High School and earned his master’s degrees in accounting and business from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He was united in marriage to Shawn Larson on June 28, 2019, and he preceded him in death on November 25, 2025.

Chuck and Shawn were the owners of Team Spirit Promotions in Rock Island.

Among his greatest joys in life were his two beloved dogs Coco and Cooper aka “his boys”, who were not just pets but cherished companions.

More than anything, he will be remembered for the joy he brought to others. His goofy jokes, easy smile, and genuine happiness made the world a brighter place for those lucky enough to know him.

Survivors include many beloved cousins and nephew Jerry Tovrea Jr.

Additionally, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Tovrea Sr.
