Chi Huu Nguyen

Chi Huu Nguyen, 81, of Davenport, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

 Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.

 Chi Huu Nguyen was born on February 22, 1943 in Saigon, Vietnam, a son of Tham Huu Nguyen and Hoang Thi Tran. He served in the Vietnam Air Force. Chi was united in marriage to Van Tran on March 1958. She preceded him in death on November 16, 2018. 

 Mr. Nguyen worked many years at Tyson Foods, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and watching tv.

  Those left to honor his memory are his children: Oanh, Dung, Quyen, Trang, Trinh, Nghia, and Yen.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, and children, Hung, Thuan, and Thanh. May they rest in peace.
