Chelsea Travis

March 25, 1992 — February 7, 2026

Davenport

Chelsea Rae Tensley was born on March 25, 1992, in Davenport, Iowa, to Brenda Hannah and David Tensley, Sr. She was educated in the Davenport Community School System and grew into a woman whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Chelsea had a gift for braiding hair and a heart devoted to caring for those she loved. In 2013, she married Robert Travis, and together they built a beautiful family. Chelsea embraced motherhood with open arms, nurturing not only her four biological children but also welcoming Robert's eldest son, Javerreon, as her own. Her love knew no boundaries, and her generous spirit made her beloved by all who knew her.

Chelsea was known for her beautiful, warm smile that could light up any room. No matter what she was going through or the challenges she faced, she always greeted others with that radiant smile—a testament to her strength, grace, and unwavering spirit.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Third Missionary Baptist Church, located at 222 W. 14th Street in Davenport. Burial will follow in Pinehill Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be from 10am until time of services at the church.
