Charles D. “Chuck” Ingram, 75, a resident of Blue Grass, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Private family burial will take place at a later date in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.

            Charles DeVere Ingram was born on October 4, 1938 in Lyndon, Illinois, a son of Benjamin and Ava (Wilkins) Ingram.  He proudly served our country in the Navy from 1958 until 1960 aboard the U.S.S. Wasp.  Chuck was united in marriage to Donna J. Williams on May 24, 1974 in Illinois.        Chuck enjoyed a long career with Eagle Country Markets beginning in his freshman year of high school.  He retired after 47 ½ years of service, serving in every capacity imaginable.

            He was a former member of the Plus 60 Club. Chuck enjoyed reading novels, NASCAR, and many events his grandchildren participated in.

            Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

            Chuck is survived by his wife, Donna, Blue Grass; children: Robbin (Kevin) Marple, Donahue, Pamella (David) Gidden, FL, Christine Ingram, Davenport, and Danial (Lisa) Ingram, Minier, IL; grandchildren: Laryn, Jadyn, Danial, Jenny, Jamie, Jessica, Eli, and Joe; several great-grandchildren; sisters: Marcella Shirer, Maria Ingram, Linda Little, and Marge Jonaway; brothers: Benjamin Ingram, Franklin Ingram, and Ron Helms; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bev and John Tofanelli; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Debra Gaultney and Eddie Ingram.
