Carole Micklewright

Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Carole A. Micklewright, 81, a resident of Davenport, will be 10am Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4105 N. Division Street, Davenport. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Carole’s family will greet friends from 4-7pm Monday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 N. Main Street, downtown Davenport with a family lead Rosary at 4pm to begin visitation. There will be additional visitation at the church on Tuesday from 9am until time of service.

Carole passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Carole Ann Mably was born February 9, 1937 in Rock Island, a daughter of Ernest Thomas and Mildred Rose (Goodrum) Mably. She attended AIC College. Carole married Dan B. Micklewright May 7, 1960 in Rock Island. They have celebrated over 57 years of marriage.

Carole was a secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1993 after 20 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a member of various Circles at church as well. Carole loved playing Bridge and was a member of various Bridge clubs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

Those left to honor Carole’s memory include her husband, Dan, Davenport; son, Scott Micklewright, Battle Creek, MI; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin John Micklewright, parents, and sister Shirley Stoeber. May they rest in peace.
