Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Carol A. Levetzow, 87, of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport with the rosary prayed at 6 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in the gathering space at St. Paul the Apostle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Parish.

Carol died Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Meadowview Senior Living.

Carol Ann Mannhardt was born on September 29, 1937 in Davenport, a daughter of Paul and Sarah (Buffum) Mannhardt. She graduated from Villa de Chantel in Rock Island. Carol was united in marriage to Harvey Levetzow in 1955 and from this marriage they had seven children. Carol worked as an accounting clerk for the Davenport Community School District for over 30 years.

Carol cherished her family as they were the center of her universe. She loved being a mother and grandmother to her large family. Carol also had a great love of music, she was a cantor and sang in choirs at St. Paul the Apostle as well as the former Davenport Diocesan Centennial Choir, which she was a charter member of.

Carol was also a member of the Davenport Association of Education Office Personnel, the Buffum Genealogical Society in New York, and the German Heritage Society.

Those left to honor her memory are her children: Kevin (Pam) Levetzow, Kansas City, Missouri, Jeffrey (Lianne) Levetzow, Alva, Oklahoma, Craig (Kathy) Levetzow, Davenport, Christine Kuehl, Davenport, and Brad (Cindi) Levetzow, Bettendorf; daughters-in-law, Cheryl Levetzow, Davenport, and Kathleen (Steadman) Crawford, Holly Ridge, North Carolina; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a brother, James (Jeralee) Mannhardt, Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her sons: Dean and Brian Levetzow, her parents, and brothers, Rev. Dan Mannhardt and Eugene Mannhardt. May they rest in eternal peace.

The Levetzow family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Meadowview Senior living and St. Croix Hospice for the level of care, love, and compassion shown to their mother.
