Carol L. Erbst, 67, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the University of

Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Per her request, a private family service was held, and she was laid to rest in Rose Hill, Cemetery, Buffalo, IA. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home of Davenport assisted the family.

 

Carol Linda LaGrange was born in Davenport on July 18, 1954, a daughter of Raymond

Alfred and Geneva Rose (Strait) LaGrange. She was united in marriage to Donald A. Erbst Sr. on February 20, 1971, in Davenport and enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. Together they raised a beautiful family. She was a hardworking mother of three children who above all, valued her family. 

 

Carol retired from Ford Motor Company and in her retirement enjoyed spending her free time with her family, especially with her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Donald Sr; children Donald

(Amanda) Erbst Jr of Bettendorf, IA, Julie (Zachary) Cockayne of Bettendorf, IA, and Christina

Lemaster of Davenport, IA; grandchildren Jessica Erbst, Jason (Annalyse) Erbst, Caitlyn Lemaster, Nick Lemaster, Jack Cockayne, and Max Cockayne; great grandchildren Bentley, Marleigh, JoJo, Annie, Sophia, Jett and Nina; sister Joan Erbst of Davenport; and brother Allan LaGrange of Davenport.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Geneva LaGrange, sisters Janice Cook and Barbara Miller, and brothers Robert and Mikeal LaGrange.
