Ben J. Smith, Jr.

Ben J. Smith, Jr., 57, of Davenport, passed away, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Genesis East Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 30, 2022 in the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries All Faith Chapel.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am.  Cremation will follow services.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Ben was born on July 7, 1964 in Mississippi, son of Ben and Stella Mae Smith. 

Ben enjoyed fishing, basketball and trying his luck at the casino.  He was a hardworking man who dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and special gal, Seletha.

Those left to honor his memory include his partner, Seletha Wiggins; children Ben Smith, Bendrick Smith, Sabrina Wiggins, Shawn Wiggins, Shawntae Wiggins and Shamera Wiggins; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
