Barbara Kay Wittrock was born June 9, 1950, in Davenport, to Harold and Katherine (Guenther) Wittrock. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jim Lykam, on February 5, 1972, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Davenport.

She was active in her husband Jim’s election campaigns, serving as campaign manager and treasurer and was involved with the Davenport West Class of 1968 reunion committee.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who cherished every moment spent with those she loved. Family gatherings were her favorite occasions, especially during the Christmas season.
She was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, especially Patrick Mahomes. She found happiness in simple pleasures such as cooking, bike rides, tending to her yard and flowers, shopping for her favorite scents at Bath & Body Works, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She loved traveling to Orlando, FL to visit Disney World and Universal Studios, and Wisconsin to visit Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Dells, where she made lifelong memories with her family.
Music was a large part of her life, whether it was listening to music from the 60s or playing the drums.
Survivors include her husband Jim Lykam; son Jeff Lykam of Davenport; several cousins; and her dog “Sassy”.
Her parents preceded her in death.
