Memorial Mass for Dr. Ann Marie Campagna, 66, Davenport, will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023,  St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport.  Mass will be livestreamed and can be viewed at St. Paul's Facebook Visitation is Friday, January 20th from 4-7 pm; rosary prayed 4 pm; at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Additional visitation is Saturday 12-1 pm in church gathering space. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery, Viola, Illinois, will be a later date. Memorials may be made to Friends of Vander Veer, International Messengers (https://give.im-usa.org/nicolae) or Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (https://cholangiocarcinoma.org)

 

Ann Marie died peacefully Saturday, January 7, 2023, at home surrounded by family following a courageous, strength-filled cancer battle. She never complained and faced death with immense courage and grace.

 

Ann Marie was born January 1, 1957, in Newport, Rhode Island, to Joseph and Mary (O’Connell) Campagna. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, and in 1992 received her doctorate from Logan College of Chiropractic, Chesterfield, Missouri.  She operated chiropractic practices in the Quad Cities and Clarence, Iowa, caring for patients until October, 2022.

 

Ann Marie enjoyed volunteering, as a member and in leadership or board roles with PEO Chapter GQ, Lake Davenport Sailing Club, Friends of Vander Veer, Catholic Service Board, Tri City Garden Club, and Figge Art Museum events. She truly treasured helping. 

 

She loved cooking, gardening, traveling, especially to St. Louis and the ocean as she loved being around water.

 

Survivors include her husband, Mark Nelson, Davenport; mother, Mary Campagna, Lisle, Illinois; brothers, Tony (Terry) Campagna, East Moline, Joseph (Janice) Campagna, Summerfield, North Carolina, and Michael (Cristin Adam) Campagna, Naperville, Illinois; Mark’s children: Spenser (Victoria Crawford) Nelson, Nashville, Tennessee, and Aubrey Nelson, DeWitt, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janice and David Nelson, Matherville, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.  Her father and nephew, Jason Campagna preceded her in death.
