Amy J. Behymer

Amy J. Behymer, 83, of East Moline, Illinois, died Monday, April 20, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Graveside services will take place immediately following visitation in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the East Moline Public Library.

Amy Jean Daugherty was born on December 23, 1942, in Perry, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph and Anna (Brown) Daugherty.

Amy spent 33 years with the US Department of Agriculture working in the Rock Island Office. She retired in 1994.

She enjoyed a good book, especially mystery and thriller novels as well as doing crossword puzzles.

Among survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Behymer, Davenport, granddaughters, Emma and Claire, her brother, Robert Daugherty, Bradenton, Florida, and a niece, Nancy Seaton, Springfield, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, JoAnn Evans.
