Allen Moneymaker, Jr.

Allen Vincent Moneymaker, Jr., 53, a resident of Davenport, died Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport.

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2nd at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to All Saints Catholic School for his youngest son’s tuition.

Allen was born December 3, 1968 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Allen, Sr. and Elena (Marquez) Moneymaker. He married Theresa Ann Roths, June 3, 2000.

Allen was an avid truck driver for 30 years, working for various trucking companies, last driving for Ossian. He learned his passion of trucking from his dad. Allen enjoyed taking his daughters on road trips in the semi. He also enjoyed listening to country music; Dolly Parton was one of his favorites. Allen loved to goof around with everyone, even in the most serious of times. He had the biggest heart and was a social butterfly who loved to make friends with everyone he met.

Those left to honor his memory includes his wife, Theresa; children, Emily, Haley, Allen Joseph, and Benjamin; mother, Elena Moneymaker of Rock Island; sister, Mary Moneymaker of Rock Island; and many cousins, nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father and his father and mother-in-law.
